Residents and non-residents are welcome to use the Acton Transfer Station & Recycling Center for normal household trash & recycling generated by everyday usage.

Location: The Transfer Station & Recycling Center is accessible from its Route 2 westbound entrance. For GPS purposes, this is approximately 193 Massachusetts Ave, Acton.

Site Entry Requirements: Patrons must purchase a Transfer Station sticker or pay an individual trip fee in order to access the Transfer Station.

Accepted Materials Guide: A guide of items that are accepted and not accepted at the Acton Transfer Station is available here. Concrete, organic waste, and additional mercury-containing products like fluorescent lamps are also accepted. All trash must be placed in Town of Acton designated trash bags to comply with the Town’s Pay As You Throw program.
