Bulky Wastes: There are fees for appliances, computer monitors, furniture/unbagged
trash, propane tanks, and mattresses.

Shredded paper: The spring Paper Shredding Day is held at the Dartmouth Highway Department, 976 Russells Mills Road. The fall Paper Shredding Day is held in New Bedford and all are welcome.

Construction/Demolition Waste – There will be a charge of $195.00 per ton for all vehicles over 200 lbs. and up to two tons for construction and demolition. There is a minimum tipping fee of $15.00 for anything under 200 pounds. Any load weighing over 200 pounds will be charged a rate of $.0975 per pound. Sinks, toilets, and carpets are examples of what is accepted as construction/demolition.

Yard waste (grass, leaves, and yard clippings) may be brought to the Water Pollution Control Facility at 759 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA 02748. A Transfer Station Sticker is required and available free of charge to S.M.A.R.T. customers. Hours for the leaf compost area are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
