Recycling Accepted
Plastic: Bottles, Jugs, Jars, and Tubs (empty and rinse)
Metal: Food and Beverage Cans, Aluminum Foil (empty and rinse)
Glass: Bottles and Jars (empty and rinse)
Paper and Cardboard: Mixed Paper, Newspaper, Magazines, Boxes (empty and flatten). Yes, we accept pizza boxes!

Special Collection:
Food Scrap/Wasted Food: For information on the drop-off program and for compost bin/kitchen scrap bucket details https://www.athol-ma.gov/transfer-and-recycling-center/pages/composting.
Shredded Paper (no plastic, receipts, or metal) is accepted in our composting program.

Textiles: When dropping off textiles (clothes, towels, bedding, plush toys, purses, shoes, etc.), please be sure items are clean and dry and placed in a plastic bag.
