Batteries (and items containing them) do NOT go in your recycling bin, and most don`t go in the trash, either. They are a major cause of fires at recycling and trash facilities.
🗑️ONLY put single-use alkaline batteries in the trash.
‼️For all other batteries: Remove them from their devices, tape the ends, and take them to a drop-off site.
📱For items like cell phones that don`t have easily removable batteries, take them to a drop-off site that collects these devices.
